The same with either plan

A little detail on fair use.

Each month, Flit Plus and the free trial include:

  • 30photo identifications shared between plants and wildlife
  • 30Ask messages

Plant and wildlife identifications share one allowance across your gardens and devices. Ask has its own allowance. Each Ask follow-up counts as a message. They reset on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC; unused allowance does not roll over.

A few things you might be wondering.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

Choose a monthly or annual Flit Plus subscription in the iPhone app. If your Apple account is eligible, your first 14 days are free. Card details are required through your Apple account when you start the trial.

After 14 days, your chosen plan automatically renews at £4.99 per month or £39.99 per year unless you cancel. To avoid the first charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

The introductory offer is for eligible new UK subscribers, with one trial for Flit Plus per Apple account. Creating a Flit account alone does not start a subscription or trial.

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose Flit Plus and cancel. You can also use Manage subscription in Flit.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or subscription renews to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app or your Flit account does not cancel your Apple subscription. Apple’s cancellation guide (opens in a new tab)

What happens to my garden if I stop subscribing?

When Plus access ends, your account returns to Flit Free. Your garden records, photos, notes and sightings stay in place. You can keep using the Free features, while Plus features become unavailable.

Do monthly and annual plans include the same features?

Yes. Both plans include the same Flit Plus features and monthly fair-use allowances. Annual billing costs £39.99 in one payment, saving £19.89 compared with 12 payments of £4.99.

What counts towards the monthly limits?

Each plant or wildlife photo identification uses one credit from the same shared allowance. An identification that runs but cannot recognise anything still counts. Each message to Ask Flit, including a follow-up, counts as one message.

If a request fails before giving you an answer, its allowance is returned automatically. Searching the catalogues, adding plants manually, recording sightings and attaching journal photos do not use these allowances.

Starting a trial, subscribing, changing plans or restoring purchases does not reset usage already recorded that month.
